is my discontinued makeup expired?

About 2 years ago (im guessing) my fav loose powder was discontinued by clinique (gentle light… = amazinggg) so I called around to all the department stores within a 50 mile radius to find some left in my shade. Luckily one of them had 4 left.. So I stocked up. 2 yrs later im on my last one.. Does anyone know the shelf life of loose powders? I’ve looked online and a lot of sites say its about a yr or so.. But is that from the date its actually OPENED? Also, does anyone know if they started making it again?
No, im not asking where to find more… I know I could prob find some on ebay but I woudlnt want to buy it from some stranger.. Yukky.

Im just wondering if the one I have left would ‘go bad’ .. Since I bought it over 2 yrs ago… but it was sealed until a couple months ago.
